Where we are
In the heart of the Tuscia, nestling on the border of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, lies Montefiascone, an ancient medieval town located on the edges of the beautiful Bolsena Lake, the largest volcanic lake in Europe.
Accommodation; 2 km outside Montefiascone is situated a country house, “FATTORIA CAPOBIANCO”. Built in the traditional rural Italian style of stone and chestnut wood. High quality materials have been used throughout with added features created for modern living. It is situated on a hill and provides unrestricted views of the Cimini mountains and beautiful rolling countryside towards the papal city of Viterbo. Away from the mass tourism of Tuscany lies this oasis of peace and tranquillity.
The Farm
Fattoria Capobianco consists of two farmhouses; the main house with 3 apartments dedicated to guests and one to our family, the second house is about 80 meters, also has an independent access and can accommodate up to 9 people.
The farmhouses have been renovated respecting the local architecture and are perfect locations for couples, groups or families, as they are autonomous from the functional point of view and equipped with kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.
Didactic Farm
The firm is also an educational farm, where you can undertake educational and cultural paths. The main purpose of the educational farm is to be able to combine an effective technical and scientific information on food production and processing with a passionate testimony of the local rural reality, enhancing the importance of consuming traditional and organic products.
The farm is environmentally friendly. From the energy, renewable sources are used: photovoltaic for the production of electricity, solar thermal for hot water, biomass for heating. Friendly materials have been chosen for the restoration of the houses; natural and environmentally, such as stone, brick, wood and iron. Separate collection of waste, vegetable waste is composted or given to the animals of the court. We installed bat boxes and use geese, turkeys and the hens to eradicate the pests of the garden and the vine.
